Gossamer lace scarf - work in progress

Bad poetry in alliterative verse - about today's exciting event!

Today a tragedy, terrible and sad:
While walking through wind and withering sun
Skull Shielder, the snazziest patterned,
Forgotten fell, forlorn by the road.
Not even noticed til much later on,
When wilting from heat, 'where has it gone?!'
Seeking ensued, unceasing and sad,
Until abandoned, in the end.
Unexpected eagle eyes found it,
Lying lost in the leaves -
To tiny one ten points!!

All right, I know it's not quite up to Exeter Book standards, but I am  multi-tasking:-)

That monster never turned up! But the half-finished bag looks very nice anyway.  Photo could be better, but it is a work in progress.

Thoughts on new things to make - golf club covers (surely every golfer needs a knitted monster or three sticking up out of their bags), hats (definitely more hats, involving experimentation with lace patterns and felting), and some patterns.

Wise words

A friend told me this:
A real man is a woman's best friend. He will never stand her up and never
let her down. He will reassure her when she feels insecure and comfort her
after a bad day.

He will inspire her to do things she never thought she could do; to live
without fear and forget regret. He will enable her to express her deepest
emotions and give in to her most intimate desires. He will make sure she
always feels as though she's the most beautiful woman in the room and will
enable her to be the most confident, sexy, seductive, and invincible.

No, wait... sorry... I'm thinking of wine.............. Never mind.

New projects

At the moment I'm working on a new handbag for me - which I will also make available on etsy. It is going to be strong and felted, and I'm wondering if that monster will come back. It's made from the same wool as manifested the last monster so it'll be interesting to see...

And I think I might make a few shawls and scarves for these summer evenings.

New blog

This is the beginning of another steep learning curve...
